The apartment wasn't much to look at but a few bits and pieces were familiar from home. The sofa had a pillow and blanket strewn untidily over the back and Ray tossed his keys in their direction, automatically heading straight towards the twins' bedroom.

He paused halfway there, turning back to Asher. "Why don't you check on them. There's a surprise in there." Asher's bed from their hut had always been a highlight but here it was a necessity as well. Without it, one adult and two kids would have been squeezing onto a single couch that first night.
